All prayer requests sent to us will be given to our team of Prayer Warriors who will pray earnestly

Practical Help
There are ongoing projects at our facility to modernize and improve the buildings and grounds. We would like to do some building renovations to a cottage and need the assistance of a builder/s with his team to do the work and some material (cement, plumbing items etc.).
If you are able to offer your time, skills and/or any material to help us with these projects, it is always very much appreciated.
Please contact us for more details of the many different ways you could assist us. Examples might include help with the gardens, maintenance of buildings inside/out, administration, hairdressing, medical services, transport, expert advice, sewing, plumbing… you fill in the gaps!
Prayer Support / Outreaches/Teams
Prayer is and always has been a vital part of Raphah Ministries. We really appreciate it when people bless us with a prayer visit or just to minister to us on a regular basis.
This Ministry also does prayer walks in the community, has prayer meetings and pray for people on request. Any one interested in joining prayer related services can call our office for more details or can get involved in prayer outreaches.
We also need prayer warriors/teams to stand in the gap for people in need of prayer, assistance, healing, restoration, etc. Prayer is essential, as we work together with God, seeking His comfort and desire for change in many aspects. We wish to start a prayer team where all prayer requests can be send and who will pray earnestly and handle the requests with care and confidentiality at all times. Any people interested in making themselves available as a prayer warrior or to be part of a prayer team, please contact us.
Volunteers/Missionaries
Volunteers (16 – 18 years)
If you are a youngster between the ages of 16 – 18 and wish to do some voluntary work (which will look good on your Curriculum Vitae (CV) for future reference) and gain some experience in the process, why not assist us on the premises with some chores in your spare time? Depending on your working hours, you will receive breakfast and/or lunch and possibly a food parcel (for those who have a need at home for food).
Volunteers / Missionaries (18+)
If you are a committed Christian older than 18 and feel that God is calling you to take a year or two out to serve Him, why not approach us to work as missionary at our Ministry. Alternatively get involved on a regular/full-time basis as a volunteer.
Volunteers / Missionaries (60+)
If you are older than 60 and/or on pension and feel that you can use your knowledge, experience and qualifications to sow into this Ministry, why not approach us to work as volunteer and/or missionary at our Ministry on a regular basis? There is a need for experienced people who can supervise, teach, train without doing physical hard labour/work.
Volunteers – Bible distribution/outreaches
Volunteers are needed to assist in the distribution of bibles during regular outreach initiatives.
Arts & Crafts Training
Experienced and willing people to manage a variety of arts and crafts training, workshops and initiatives are needed
Landscaping / Garden Services
Experienced volunteers in this field and/or businesses to sponsor such a service, is needed. Youngsters, who wish to assist with this service by offering their help to cut the lawns, keep the gardens maintained etc., can make use of this opportunity as well. This will be to their benefit as an entry on their Curriculum Vitae (CV) for future references. A sponsorship to employ a gardener on a regular basis would also be a great help.
Vegetable Gardens
There is a need for volunteers to set-up, maintain and keep our vegetable garden in good order and to ensure a good crop with the necessary attention and care. This could be done once or twice per week. A sponsorship to employ a gardener on a regular basis solely for the food production section would also be an option. Some projects to generate food on a larger scale is on the table for consideration, which will benefit the participant/worker by receiving a food parcel on a weekly basis as payment as well as receive a percentage of the crops for their personal use. Interested parties can contact us for more details. Interested parties who would be able to assist to manage such a programme are welcome to approach us for consideration and consultation.
Seeds, seedlings and other items are needed for such projects – not only to sustain in-house/domestic needs, but also to sow into the community and to sell as a self-sustainability project.
Sewing & Needle Craft Projects
There is a need for sewing machines, overlockers in good working condition and any other sewing or needle-craft items. Various sewing projects is on the table for consideration, including that of teaching new needle and sewing skills to people, making of items (such as toys, clothing, arts & crafts) for in-house use, outreaches or to sell as income generating projects.
There is also a need for a volunteer to oversee these projects. Income generating projects will be able to pay a small wage to a person who can manage these projects.
Training
Raphah Ministries has various training initiatives/projects. Whether it is out in the field training the community how to produce food for themselves or in a classroom set-up training pastors or teaching individuals/groups how to heal/restore, funds are needed in so many ways. Travelling and other administrative/printing/stationery expenses are needed to balance the books. Financial support is always in dire need, but involvement to sponsor stationery, printing, fuel, refreshments, running costs etc., is also much needed. If you wish to get involved in the training aspect, either being a trainer yourself or to be educated as a trainer, please call our offices for an appointment.
Home Care at our (Protective) Haven
It cost money to take care of any person, so much more when it is a homeless person or someone who is destitute, and have nothing. Some people who need help only have what they have on their body at that moment. Nothing else!
To provide 3 meals a day take careful planning to ensure that a well-balanced meal is provided every time. If one has to survive on only food donations, it is not always possible to provide balanced meals, as you have to make due with what you have available. Therefore it is important to be able to purchase food and food items as well to add-on what one receives in the form of donations.
In a normal household it would cost approximately R2 000-00 to R3 000-00 per person to cover expenses such as food, toiletries and detergents for one month. Imagine covering the same expenses for 30 people (R60 000-00 – R90 000-00) with approximately R15 000-00 (if we are lucky). Then one still needs funds to cover running expenses (fuel, maintenance, wages, municipal costs, administrative needs etc). Most people that we take care of have no means of income, but those who do have a pension or some or other grant has to contribute towards their care. This is by far just a drop in the bucket (so to speak) to enable this facility to take care of others’ needs.
Any donation, services, products or sponsorships that you can provide to assist, will be a blessing. Should you wish to make a financial contribution or sponsor meals for a person for one day @ R100-00, please visit our “Give/Sponsor” section to obtain our banking details. Thank you for your support in this project.
